Sharing – Pain Communication Poll

This Little Lyme of Mine

I posted a poll on Twitter and wanted to ask the same question to my readers. How do you inform your loved ones of your current chronic pain level? Do you do what most of us do and just not tell them, do you tell them or use nonverbal cues? Is there another way you let them know? Please tell me your methods in the comments!

  1. I don’t usually say anything unless it’s at top of the pain scale. Because I’m always in pain I feel like it’s pointless unless it’s to the point of not being able to do anything.

    • Thank you for responding! SpoonieMom and I really are trying to get a feel for how people talk about their pain…I’ll do a post on what we find out. We just need more people like you to respond. ❤️

  2. I’m kind of the same as Our Twisted Fairytale. Unless it’s almost unbearable I don’t speak of it. It sucks enough as it is, I don’t like to constantly remind myself by saying it out loud.
