Shout Out – Hank the Chair : Bringing Awareness to Children about Disabilities

*Click Here To Visit Hank The Chair’s Website!*

I know I am focused on invisible illnesses on my blog, but I would like to share with you the above website.

It is formed around and idea…a way to help eliminate any stigmas, questions or confusion that children may have when they see other children (or by extension anyone in a wheelchair or using an assistive device). At its core is a wonderful book (illustrated by my mom!). In the book we meet a girl and her wheelchair, named Hank, we get to see the struggles and accomplishments they go through on a day to day basis.

Check out the website for information on ordering the book and about Denis R Berkson…author, Psycologist and father of a child with disabilities. He is available for presentations about his experiences. He is wonderful, honest and engaging.

His goal is to talk about the reality of disabilities. Basically the same way all of us are doing with our Invisible Illnesses.

Thank you for taking a look.

❤️ & Spoons,
